Point groups, Points for each group left/right

They are used for dimensioning the component type and at the same time as basic grouping option for grouped connection points.

The number of connection points for each connection side is obtained by multiplying the point groups with points per group.

Dimension

The component type dimension can be defined as the number of connection points for each connection side.

 Example:

A component type with 4 point groups and 12 groups for each group on the left and right connection side is defined. The number of connection points and the dimension of the component type is thus 48.

Connection positions left/right

This value defines the number of connection points for each connection point per connection side. It lies within the limits that are specified by the underlying category of the component type.

Point characteristics

These settings indicate which characteristics are available to the user on the connection points. Which possible characteristics are available to the user on the component type depends on the settings at the category level.

 Example:

In the category “Strip/Panel”, the characteristics “Function text” and “Usage” are activated.  On the component “PP48” of the category “Strip/Panel”, only more than two characteristics can now be activated or deactivated.

Fibre leasing

If the fibre leasing option is activated, fibre owners and fibre leasing can be defined at component level for each component point. Because fibre leasing is only activated at component level, please refer to the Chapter “Components”.
