The grouping of capacities and continuation via higher-capacity routes is called multiplexing, the extraction of individual capacity blocks from the capacities is called demultiplexing.

In order to carry out these processes in reality, multiplexers equipped with cards must be available in the nodes.

In this chapter, all elements necessary for the creation and representation of these transmission paths in ConnectMaster are defined and explained in detail.  Furthermore, the procedure for the creation of transmission paths is explained using specific examples.
