Port renaming is processed at sync level in DSE Manager refer to section Port Renaming. The port naming for Ciena MCP is shelf-slot-port no and for SFPs shelf-slot-subslot. The cards and sublot SFPs need to be modelled used “X” for DSE to replace X with relevant data. For example, ESAM card has 10 ports. The port no 2 is on the SFP. Therefore, port number needs to identified on the component type leaving the rest for the DSE to updated in the sync.
