To create a new IP subnet press the * button:

 

Fields:

•Address: Address which should be contained in the new subnet

•Subnet: Defines the size of the subnet.

•Name: User definable name of the subnet, this is automatically forwarded to the first address in the address range, field can be edited manually.

•Unique: possible control whether IP addresses in different subnets may be assigned more than once or must be unique system-wide, see Definition: Uniqueness

•IP Network Type: Is automatically set to Private or Public based on the address range set in the subnet, see Definition: IP Network Type

•Range: The first address of the subnet automatically calculated using the address and mask.

•After: : Automatically calculated highest address of the subnet based on the address and mask.
