Thanks to preconnection you can define the desired „light path“ through the WDM network as shown by the example below.

In this example it´s shown, how you can route a SDH signal over a P-CWDM network. A SDH signal is produced by a SDH-mux which is connected physically to a passive C-WDM mux.

We are provided with no documentation about physical connection between LocA and LocB, however we know that a logical connection of type WDM (WDM_0003) has been built between mux PWDM-003 in LocA and PWDM-004 in LocB and that allows the SDH-signal to be routed through the WDM-network.
