How to work with dynamic shapes is explained with an example: |
|
Example |
Example: Under Defaults/Graphic, the following entries were made in “CM Elements -> Symbols”: |
Element: |
Name |
Drawing type |
Stencil |
Symbol |
Component |
Strip_A |
Standard |
User.vss |
Strip green |
Component |
Strip_B |
Standard |
User.vss |
Strip red |
Component |
Strip_C |
Standard |
User.vss |
Strip blue |
Component |
Strip_C |
Standard |
User.vss |
Strip yellow |
Example |
In Visio, the following steps are now executed: 1.Master shape <Strip> from the stencil “Defined Symbol Allocations” is shifted to the drawing sheet. 2.Component selection (preselected on Strip and Container/Shaft Elements) is opened. 3.User selects „Strip A“. 4.ConnectMaster searches the defined symbol allocations in the above list and finds the allocation to “Strip green” in the stencil „user.vss“. 5.“Strip A” is drawn in Visio with “Strip green” from “user.vss”. |
If, in Step 3, “Strip C” is selected instead of “Strip A, Step 3 looks as follows: 3.Window “CM Elements -> Symbol Allocation“ is opened. The user must select one of the 2 allocations (“Strip blue” or “Strip yellow”). |
|
If, in Step 3, “Strip D” is selected instead of “Strip A, further procedure changes as follows: 3.Window “CM Elements -> Symbol Allocation“ is opened. The following entry is automatically made: |
Element: |
Name |
Drawing type |
Stencil |
Symbol |
Component |
Strip_D |
Standard |
Standard_de.vss |
Strip D |
|
3.The user can adapt the entry accordingly; in our example, the symbol is changed to “Strip turquoise” from stencil “user.vss”. |
