Compare tab allows user to compare changes in the project with the base data layer to identify any conflicts. This provides opportunity to identify and resolve any conflicts before attempting to merge.

It is not necessary to execute a refresh as the Compare function will look directly into the base data layer and compare to the current project the user is working in.

Note: The same comparison is automatically executed before a merge operation as well.

The results of the compare are displayed locations and components separately. Parent component and its children are grouped.  Expand to see location and component list

 

 

Where applicable users can enter comparison page for finer granularity of operation. For example, MX960-DC002(A) Assembly. This will present the plan and the current operational states. You can see network interface DPCE 20x 1GE R EQ on slot 2/3 is the new component

If a conflict is detected for example if another project is merged beforehand that results in a conflicting change to operational. Conflict is highlighted. Go to assemble to view details.
