General

IP-Pools and IP-Subnets are not tied to locations therefore there is no automatic mechanism to assign network segments. (in contrast to net components)

IP-Pools

IP-Pools as well as IP-Subnets can be assigned manually to net segments.

IP-Subnets

An IP-Subnets inherits the segment assignment from an IP-Pool, when this is assigned to an IP subnet.

IP-Addresses

IP-Addresses inherit the segment assignment from an IP subnet. Individual IP addresses cannot be assigned to other segments manually. If individual IP Address areas are to be assigned to different network segments, „child“ subnets must be created.
