Definition
A container/ mux inherits segment assignments from its location.

If the container is created or inserted in a top container, the container inherits the segment assignment. If it is later removed the assignments stays the same.  The same goes for MUX. Is the container part of multiple segments it can only be edited with edit rights and „edit distributed data“.
 
Assignment
The segment assignment can be seen in the details, foreign segments are concealed, except if the user has the right „External Segment Visibility“.
