Definition
A duct inherits the segment assignments from the A and Z location. If these are different segments the duct is assigned to all segments. If the duct is created in a duct or laid into one then the created sub duct inherits the segment assignment. If the sub duct is removed from the top duct the assignments stay the same
 
Assignment
The segment assignment can be seen in the duct details, foreign segments are concealed, except if the user has the right „External Segment Visibility“
 

Visibility
External ducts are not visible. Distributed ducts (including some external locations) are visible, the external objects are concealed, unless the user has the right „External Segment Visibility“.
