Visibility
A location is visible if it is part of at least one user assigned segment. Non assigned locations are no longer visible with an active network segmentation.
Edit
Editable if the object is only local in one segment in which the user has edit right. If the location is also assigned to another segment (Net coupling locations) for which the user has no editable rights, it can only be edited if the user has the right „Edit distributed data“.
Create
The location inherits the segments of the user in which the user was assigned editing rights.
Change assignments
Changes are not automatically propagated they must be chosen manually.
Copy
If a location is copied the segment assignments are not included. The new location inherits the assignments of the parent location or location system when in level 1.
Network copy
The target parent location must be in a segment for which the user has editing rights. All source locations, -components and –paths must be visible for the user, so they must be part of a segment for which the user has at least viewing rights. If not all objects of the source network are visible that copying is not allowed. The copy patch calculate their segment assignments automatically.
