Previously, one component type can only be assigned to a component sub-category. This is not ideal if a component type is used for several purposes (e.g. Cable 48f is used for indoor and outdoor) and thus it is required to create two entry of identical cable components but be assigned to two different component sub-categories. This solution is not ideal.
