Create Protection Path Pre-connect

Description

Create pre-connects for the protection path based on network card design and your requirements. Basic principal implemented on these units is that it has signal receiving on one interface which has pre-connects to 2 other interfaces on the other side

Procedure

For this example we are using Huawei DCP 2-Channel Optical Path Protection Unit (refer to appendix 4.1).

Go to Details view of the card component type and pre-connect Tab. In this example we have already created the default pre-connects which translates to working path pre-connets when upgrade to SP16.c

Now select protection port Z on the right. In this case TI12

Do the above for the rest of protection path pre-connect for A ports. Below is the completed one

Now create the required protection path pre-connect for Z ports by selecting the row and clicking Z port icon. Select RO1.

Use the Inherit option to transfer the changes to all components of this type.

Now create the required WDM container for the circuit to check for auto generated protection path based on the new pre-connect settings. If container exists you have to remove the port A and port Z and assign them again.
