Intention is to go through the workflow on how to create a new file row

Procedure

i.Create a new file row with “Create Document”. The initial state of the file is checked out and the creator username is seen under “Checked out by”.

 

ii.Select the document storage type, either File or Database. By default, it is “File”.

 

iii.Choose file

 

iv.SAVE

a.Details of file are saved

b.File “Type: Database”: File is stored in database

c.File “Type: File”: File hyperlink is saved

Note: SAVE operation doesn’t check in file.

 

v.Check in file

a.File “Type: Database”: File hyperlink doesn’t appear in Link field after check in

b.File “Type: File”: File hyperlink is visible in Link field after check in
