To be able to set protection path for a bidirectional OCH based on the pre-connect settings of a card.  For example Huawei DCP 2-Channel Optical Path Protection Unit (refer to appendix 4.1) has signal receiving on one interface which has pre-connects to 2 other interfaces on the other side. One of the paths should be for working path and the other for protection. New feature ConnectMaster adds functionality to select one of these pre-connects to be the protection path.

This can be done by selecting a pre-connect to be protection on the pre-connects settings on the Component Type.

You have 2 new options based on this feature enhancement:

1.Create protection path pre-connect for A port or

2.Create protection path pre-connect for Z port.  

 

Connect Master now can automatically create working path and protection when creating the logical route for bidirectional OCH.
