Description

Based on the below example, an Impact Analysis will be run on one of the LAG paths, and then again on one of the devices to view the resulting impacts to services for each case

Procedure

 

1.Run an Impact Analysis for a loss of one of the LAG paths

 

a.Launch the Impact Analyzer for the TC Lag1 Path1. E.g. launch from the Data Explorer:

 

b.Run the analyser

 

c.The analyzer identifies the impact to both the Link aggregation TC as well as the end-to-end circuit routing over it as having the effect “LAG-path protected”. That is, there is a loss of protection but there is still a path protecting the link.

 

2.Run an impact analysis for a loss of a common point of failure for all paths in a Link aggregation TC

 

a.Launch the Impact Analyzer for Device2.

 

b.Run the analyser.

 

c.The analyser identifies each link running through or terminating at device2 with the effect of “Disabled” (for the P2P link not associated with the link aggregation) or “LAG-Path disabled”
