In the network interface / card type detail, Ports tab click the “Create Virtual Preconnect Port” button as shown to create a VPP. One port is created at a time.

 

Standard editing functionality is available to select the port type, capacity check and capacity, as well as to rename the newly created ports. Points cannot be assigned.

 

Create an instance of the card in the network. The preconnect ports are created as per the definitions set in the type. Note that these are ports that can have preconnects defined to them, but they are not created automatically preconnected. The steps for assigning preconnects to physical ports are described elsewhere in this document.
