Virtual Preconnect Ports in ConnectMaster provide the ability to model the association between physical ports and a virtual interface. The virtual preconnect ports can be defined, like other ports, in a Network Interface / Card category object. When assigned / associated with a physical port, a logical circuit that routes to or via the physical port automatically extends via the pre-connect to the virtual preconnect port (VPP). This VPP is necessarily in the same device as the physical port, but not in the same card.
