The user wants to create STM utilizable containers and let them be automatically named by CM depending on their hierarchy.

For example a utilizable container at STM-1 level is going to be named

S01_STM_N,  where 0<N<99,

while a utilizable container at STM-16 is going to be named

S16_STM_N,  where 0<N<99.

Example B

The user wants that the transmission rate appears in the utilizable container´s name.

For example, a SDH utilizable container at STM-1 level shall receive the name:

155,52 Mbit_N, where  0<N<99

Create a new transmission rate kind, clicking on File/Library

Step 2

Complete the requested fields as shown here:

Where [N] is an automatic number starting from 1 (as indicated in the columns start value) being incremented by 1 each time (as indicated in the columns increment) and ending at 99 (as indicated in the column digits 2).

Step 3

Assign the trasmission rate kind to the desired transport container:

Assign a short name to the desired utilizable container:

As a result, a STM-1 SDH transport container is going to be named as follows

A STM-16 SDH transport container would be named S16_STMLink_01.
