Route search physical paths

This route search makes it possible to find phys. paths through a network with specific characteristics and subsequent activation of necessary cross-connections via work orders to link the sub paths.

Search criteria

Criterion	Description
Start
Locations	Route must run via a specific location.
Components	Route must start on specific component.
End
Locations	Route may not run via a specific location.
Components	Route must end on specific component.

Routing via
Locations	Route must run via a specific location.
Components	Route must run via specific components.
Exclude
Locations	Route may not run via a specific location.
Components	Route may not run via specific components.

Criterion	Description
Reduce
Location group	Only show path of a specific location group
Only locations same level/below	Only display path on the same level as or below a specific location.
Reduce locations to level	Only the locations of the corresponding level are displayed under which the searched locations are based. This can also lead to groupings.
Criteria
Number of phys. paths	Number of paths to be found
Sequenced	Paths must be sequenced within the cable.
Paired	Paths must run in pairs.
Usage	Paths must have and/or not have a specific usage (signal, transport container).
Cable type	Paths must run via a specific cable type as defined in the Library.
Work order	Paths must be included in a pending and/or completed work order.
Characteristics	Display only path with specific characteristics.
Display
Also display Routes A-A	Also display cables that have the same start and target location.
Optimise	Display paths that are optimised according to the shortest/lowest connections, length, attenuation and/or resistance.
Minimum number of routes	Minimum number of alternative routes to be displayed.

Actions

Symbol	Description
	Creates a new work order for the found route. For description, see below.
	Invert display sequence
	Removes the selected phys. path from the result list
	Opens Visio drawing drop-down menu to draw the displayed route and/or set the Visio options.
	Displays all found routes as network representation, in which branches can be tracked with reference points.
	Displays the cables via which the found route runs in MapX.
	Displays the phys. path in MapX, if delineated.

Route selection

If more than one route was found (number of found routes in tab caption), the routes can be selected via the drop-down menu, which is located directly under the “Routes” tab caption.
