The switch-off-management is a pure evaluation tool which analyses which elements in ConnectMaster are affected by fault of •Components •Physical paths •Usages |
Affected? |
Affected means, dependent on the source element, as follows: |
|
|
Component |
Affected by faults of a component are: •All usages which lie on the component •All signals which lie on the component •All paths which run over the component. |
Path |
Affected by faults of a physical path are: •All usages which run over the path •All signals which run over the path |
Usage |
Affected by a fault of a usage are: •All usages which run in the faulty usage. |
Fault/Protected |
All elements affected by a fault can be divided in fault and protected elements, whereas the following applies: •Paths and signals are always faulty. •A Usage can be protected under certain circumstances.
|
Protected usage |
A usage is protected if, and only if it complies with one of the following conditions: |
|
1.There is a protection path defined for the faulty position (Component/path/section). 2.A protection type has been assigned to the usage. 3.Special case concatenation object with protection type „LCAS“: If some routing elements are affected by a fault, they're “LCAS faulty”. The routing elements which are not affected by the fault are “LCAS protected”. The concatenation object itself is then “LCAS faulty”. |
