To enabled change management, refer to the following steps precisely.

CM-CHA~1_img15 Remember to take database exports beforehand. If working in virtual environment it is also recommended to take a backup/snapshot of the database server for quick restoration if necessary.

Development Database Instance

1.Install the new ConnectMaster SP25 package as per your organisations standard procedure

2.Using the admin tool connect to the development database instance as sys user

3.WARNING! Do not enter or change the new licence yet

4.When prompted – upgrade the schema to the latest version

5.During the schema upgrade you will likely be prompted with a few primary key creation errors

6.To fix these errors Operation -> Verify Database -> ask (DD for the PWD) -> select all tests -> Verify + Fix. You will prompted with any errors fixed and asked how you would like to resolved when necessary. If you have difficulty with this step contact DD support

7.Once all the errors are resolved attempt the schema upgrade again from Upgrade -> Upgrade X.XX

8.Note – also recommended that you optimise the database at this time as well

9.Install the new key that supports planning

10.Next, Install planning functions into the data base by clicking on PLanning -> Install. This will go through the process of upgrading the database

11.Check that the pop-up log window doesn’t show any errors. In which case planning has been successfully enabled

Production Database Instance

1.Once the process has been validated in a development environment, repeat the process on the production system

CM-CHA~1_img15 If there are large failures during the upgrade procedure it is recommended to delete the database instance and create a new instance as per normal ConnectMaster installation and start again. It is not possible to easily recover a failed installation of planning.
