i.Purpose of the operation: To check out file and reserve it solely for User-A to work on

ii.After the file is checked out by User-A:

a.Only User-A can edit file

b.Only User-A can edit file row properties

c.The file can’t be checked out again by other users

d.Other users must wait until User-A has checked in or undo check out the file (for file “Type: Database” only), before they can check out the file

e.The file can’t be checked in or undo check out (for file “Type: Database” only) by other users except User-A

f.Other users have only following file handling permitted:

•For file “Type: Database”: <Open File> and <Download copy>

•For file “Type: File”: <Download copy>

g.Changes made to the file by User-A:

•For file “Type: Database”: Is not visible to other users. Other users see only the last file version that was checked in

•For file “Type: File”: Is immediately visible to other users
