i.It is only allowed to change the unit system from SI to US Customary Units (or vice-versa) within AdminTool.

ii.The functionality can be accessed via AdminTool > Setup > Configuration/Settings > Change Unit System

 

 

 

iii.Clicking OK to start converting the values

Clicking CANCEL to abort operation

 

iv.System will pops up an error message when there are users connected to ConnectMaster

 

v.Conversion handling:

a.Length/Excess length of line components (duct, cable, cable segment):

SI units [m] meter <> US units [ft] foot

1 m = 3.2808 ft

1 ft = 0.3048 m

b.Diameter of ducts, wires and fibers, and cross section of connection points:

SI units [mm] millimeter <> US units [in] inch

1 mm = 0.03937 in

1 in = 25.4 mm

c.Cable length specific attenuation: dB/km (no changes)

d.If cable sheath model is applied, no changes are done to cable length values
