WT section

A WT section  has no fixed substructure (channels); the channels result from the interconnected WT trails in the WT section.

A WT section can only be interconnected with WT trails.

WT trail

A WT trail  can only be interconnected with customer connections.

Depending on the topology, a WT trail can be interconnected  

•with exactly one customer connection in the case of a “Point-to-Point” definition, and  

•with “n” customer connections in the case of a “Bus ring” definition.
