Additional column

Unlike the logical usages of other transport containers, the logical usage of an IP transport container  includes a column “Characteristics”:

Column

Description

Characteristics

QoS and CoS of the IP trail applicable to the channel are recorded.

New sorting criterion

The logical usage of an IP section can optionally be sorted according to

QoS

CoS

of the IP trail within a section.

Statistics

Depending on the selected sorting criterion, statistics  can be collected via the IP trails. The evaluation is carried out according to type; all data are analysed either via CoS or via QoS.

The statistics contain the following evaluations:

Column

Description

Name

Name of type (QoS and/or  CoS)

Capacity

Total of all IP trail capacities of the same type

Guaranteed

Total of all guaranteed IP trail capacities of the same type

Peak

Total of all peak capacities of IP trail of the same type

Number

Number of IP trails of the same type

In addition, the following loads are calculated:

Guaranteed = Sum over Guaranteed / Capacity of IP section

Peak = Sum over Peak / Capacity of IP section

Example:

Given:  IP-Section „IP_Section_LW“ with 100 Mbit capacity and 4 channels is used as follows:

Capacity [Mbit]

Guaranteed [Mbit]
