i.During component type creation workflow:

a.Category: Splice/Splitter

b.Check checkbox Redundant Splitter (2:N)

▪If checkbox is greyed out, it is necessary to uncheck checkbox “Property: Equal count of points L/R”, refer to 1.1

 

▪This means the splitter will have a fixed 2 input points with N output points

▪Automatically a part of the dimension settings will be greyed out

▪The “Points per group > Left side” is fixed to 2 (the input points)

▪The “Points per group > Right side”, which is the representation of the output points, can be manipulated

c.Name the component type

d.Define the Point per group, Right side

 

 

ii.Within the DETAILS view of the splitter component type, there will be a statement “Component type is splitter” if during component type creation, a splitter type is chosen.
