Not dominating |
On components of not dominating component types, all characteristics of connection points may be changed. Which characteristics of the connection points are alterable on components of dominating component types can be inferred from the following table:

|
On components of dominating component types, connection points may neither be inserted or added nor deleted. On connection points of not dominating component types, connection points may be deleted and added with certain restrictions. This means that the dimension of a component may only be changed on components of not dominating component types.

Fibre leasing |
If the characteristic “Fibre leasing” is activated, every connection point also possesses the following characteristics:

Note |
The fibre leasing and owners can be modified at component level regardless of whether or not the component type is dominating.

Cable wires, fibres |
Further characteristics inherited from the component type may be available on cables. Because cable are always type-dominating, these characteristics are non-alterable. •Wire/Twin wire •Location •Phantom circuit •Stranding type •Size •Coil-loading •Test frequency •Attenuation [db/km] •Bundle •Bundle colour code •Fibre •Colour •Fibre type •Lambda 1 (850nm) •Lambda 2 (1310nm) •Lambda 3 (1470nm) •Lambda 4 (1550nm) •Lambda 5 (1640nm)
For a detailed description of these characteristics, please refer the Chapter “Component types”. |
