Configurability
As a matter of principle, a shaft behaves like a container, but it is conceptually used for components on which Cables or Ducts/routes end. Hence the following typical characteristics apply as a result:
•A shaft consists of slots arranged in rows on several levels, into which only components of category Strip, Terminal strip, End device, T-splice, Mux, and other Containers may be inserted.
•Components of the category Duct and Cable end in a shaft.
