Connection element

A network element is a equippable component for cards and strips/panels and consequently possesses the following typical characteristics, i.e. the following characteristics are typical:

•A multiplexer itself has no connection points.

•Every mux is allocated to a mode of operation:
STM, WDM, WT, TF, IP or Mixed

•A mux consists of slots arranged in rows on several levels, in which only components of category Card/Module and Strip/Panel may be inserted.
