Start drawing

A Visio tab is automatically opened and the selected drawing loaded on starting ConnectMaster.

CM properties <-> External Programmes

This function available in ConnectMaster enables a user-defined data transfer from ConnectMaster to Visio/MapX and vice versa.

Element: The ConnectMaster element corresponds to a Visio-ConnectMaster shape

ConnectMaster: on the ConnectMaster side: the characteristic of the ConnectMaster element

External: on the Visio side: a data field, etc. is shown in the shape text.

CM Elements <-> Symbols

The allocation “CM Elements -> Symbols” enables the definition of an allocation of special CM elements to specific Master Shapes in Visio.

Element: CM-Element: Filter, component type, component, location system, location level, location, signal/TC

Name: The CM element name to be searched

Drawing type: The special type of current drawing

Template: The Visio template defined in the Master Shape

Symbol: Master Shape name

Upgrade

Carry out update of Visio documents in all folders.

Automatically upgrade Visio documents

When loading saved documents, upgrade them to current CM version

Only upgrade documents in the drawing administration

Only upgrade the Visio drawing that are located in the drawing administration

Prefix for CM levels

Determines the prefix for Visio levels created by CM. Setting for StandardShapes.

Automatic arrangement of new symbols

If a new symbol is generated there is an inquiry to which CM element it should be applied to or if it should be automatically applied

Enable drawing control

Activate the drawing control with the following settings

Preselecting of elements

If an empty connector shape (Cable/Duct/Phys. Path/TC) is drawn or attached to a location shape, then show the selection window for the CM element with the location of the location shape as a preselection

Check if new CM-Symbols already exist

Check if CM elements already exist in the drawing

Check if new corrections are correct

Check if just attached connector shapes, (Cable/Duct/Phys. Path/TC) are attached to a compatible location shape or component shape
