Crystal Reports is a report engine no longer supported and developped by dynamic design, only the existing  reports are still available.  

To print Crystal reports in ConnectMaster the report types must be installed first.  

This stops the user form selecting different templates from the fundus of standard reports. Install only report  types that are allowed to be used.  

 

Storage location          

The report types are installed under %CM_REPORT%\reports\crystal.  

Depending on the data storage philosophy this storage location can be located on the client locally, or on a  central location on the server.  

The second is recommended when customerspecific reports exist.  

Install new report type  

 

Reports          

 

First a connection the the data base must be ensured. Then via Maintenace\Reports in the navigation bar one  

arrives at the desired actions.  

 

 

 

CrystalReports          

Click on „Crystal“ to access the report type management.  

 

 

Report type management  

You now receive an overview of all installed report types.  

 

 

Install report type

Click on         to install a report type.  

Navigate to the file (*.rpt) of the desired report type and click on “open“.  

 

 

 

The report type is now installed.  

 

 

Update existing reporst  

Update          

Folow the same steps as when installing a new report type.  

Following the selection of the report file you receive the following safety question, that you then answer with  „Yes“.  

 

 

Deinstall report type  

 

Select the report types, you wish to install.  

 

 

Delete via          

Dependant Documents  If documents with document parameters of this report type exist you receive the  following question.  

 

         

If you are sure the all documents with this report type should be deleted click “yes”.
