Following the start of the AdminTool the window with the connection data is shown. This can also be  

called up via Database\Connect.

The following information is needed for a connection to already existing databases:  

 


Entry  

 

 

Description  


User profile  

Here the connection information can be  saved under a freely chosen name or an  already saved setting can be loaded.  

Database Name  

Designation of the database (TNS-Name) to which the connection is to be made.  

User  

Name of the user that the AdminTool will  connect to the database with. This user must  have the rights defined in privilege and must  be a „Superuser“ according to the  
ConnectMaster user administration. (with the exception of „cmsys“)  

Password  

Password for the Oracle-Account of the user.  
If the user is set to operating system verification, then this field is to be left empty  and the use name is to be set to /.  

Privilege  

The options SYSDBA, DBA and Normal exist.  
SYSDBA and DBA are Oracle rights.  The range of functions in the AdminTool is reduced with the options Normal and DBA.  

 

Possible actions with existing DB connection

Following the connection to a database, the following points of the system administration can be started through the navigation bar.

Possible actions without a database connection

For some database actions it is required to disconnect from the database. The following action bar is then  shown.
