Characteristics of ConnectMaster shapes

Shape text

The text displayed within a shape shows CM-specific information and is inserted automatically by ConnectMaster depending on the situation. Which text is inserted can be defined in ConnectMaster via the defaults or directly via the shape menu.

All standard shapes are defined in such a way that their graphics expansion is adjusted to the actual size of the current text.  When additional text is entered, the shape thus “grows” along.

Element shapes

Standard element shapes are structured in such a way that the top shape carries text inserted by ConnectMaster. In the example of the “component” shape, it is the white rectangle on the right side of the shape.

Function “Display CM Text in Shape”

With the ConnectMaster function “Display CM Text in Shape”, ConnectMaster text can be allocated to any sub shape.

For this, the required sub shape must be selected and the function “Show CM Text in Shape” (under CM menu “Define/Define Shape:Special/Actions“) is then applied to this sub shape. Only one sub shape of a ConnectMaster shape can carry CM text.

If ConnectMaster now adds text for this shape, the sub shape on which this function was defined, carries the relevant text.

ConnectorShapes

Texts on ConnectorShapes are always located in the middle of the line.
